Tickets have opened in select theatres in Karnataka and Kerala, collecting around ₹3 crore, while international markets—including North America, the UK, and Australia—have contributed ₹11–12 crore. Once bookings open in all regions, the film’s opening-day collections could cross ₹50 crore.
Billed as a political action thriller, Jana Nayagan stars Vijay in the lead role alongside Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, Mamitha Baiju, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Prakash Raj, Narain, and Priyamani. Produced by KVN Productions, it features music by Anirudh Ravichander, cinematography by Sathyan Sooryan, and editing by Pradeep E. Ragav.
Vijay has announced this as his final film before transitioning to full-time politics, a decision he confirmed at the audio launch in Malaysia on December 27.
