The viral success of “Chikiri Chikiri,” the first single from Ram Charan’s Peddi, has greatly fueled excitement around the film. Composed by Oscar winner A.R. Rahman, the song raised expectations for the soundtrack, prompting fans to eagerly await the next release.
While the makers initially planned to drop the second single on January 1, the launch was postponed to avoid festive congestion. The team is now looking at releasing the song either ahead of Sankranthi or during the festival period. The track is expected to be a romantic duet featuring Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor.
Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, Peddi is currently in production, with the talkie portions set to be completed by the end of the month and song shoots wrapping up by February. A sports action drama set in the Uttarandhra backdrop, the film features an ensemble cast including Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Divyenndu, Viji Chandrasekhar, and Boman Irani. Produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under Vriddhi Cinemas, the film is slated for release on March 27, 2026.
