Thalapathy Vijay’s upcoming film Jana Nayagan, which marks his final acting project before entering full-time politics, has sparked remake speculation following the release of its promos. Viewers have pointed out similarities with Nandamuri Balakrishna’s hit Bhagavanth Kesari.

Responding to the buzz, director H. Vinoth declined to confirm whether the film is a remake, stating that audiences should wait until its theatrical release on January 9, 2026, and view it simply as “a Vijay film.” Despite this, the debate continues among fans and trade circles.
