Akshay Kumar To Play Antagonist in Indian 2 ? Check Out.

After playing an antagonist in Superstar Rajinikanth starrer ‘2.0’, Akshay Kumar will be seen playing a negative role in the sequel of the film titled ‘Indian’ opposite Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan.  After starring in Indian, Kamal Haasan will be seen in the sequel in which Akshay reportedly will be playing the role of a villain. Kamal Haasan had bagged the National Award in Best Actor category for Indian in 1996.

According to reports, the makers had first approached Ajay Devgn for the role but Ajay did not come on board. “Both, Ajay and Kamal were keen to collaborate on this film. However, for various reasons, including his prior commitments, Ajay couldn’t come on board.”
Meanwhile, Akshay and Shankar became close while shooting for ‘2.0’ and wanted to work together in the future too. Talking about Kamal Haasan, for his extraordinary performance in the film ‘Indian’, Kamal Haasan was given a National Film Award in the Best Actor category in 1996. More than two decades later, the sequel of the film is all set to go on floors on January 18 this year.

Revealing the first look of Kamal Haasan from the film Indian 2, Shankar took to his social media handle and wished all fans on Pongal. "Senapathy is back,” the poster declares as a white-haired Kamal Haasan point crossed fingers at the audience.
Shankar’s last film ‘2.0’ was released on November 29 last year. It is the costliest Indian film ever made. The Hindi version of the film turned out to be a blockbuster at the box-office. The film has reportedly made a collection of more than Rs. 200 crore. world wide collection Rs.950Cr
