After the recent success of Dhanush-starrer 'Thiruchitrambalam', the buzz around his upcoming film 'Naane Varuven' directed by Selvaraghavan had been huge over the past few days with the makers teasing the audience with fresh posters of the film and revealing the film will hit the screens soon. Now, the latest buzz is that the trailer of the film is being planned to be released on September 11 and the film itself to hit the screens on September 30.
While an official announcement is yet to be made regarding the above, the fans are excited with the news doing the rounds on social media. It is to be noted that director Mani Ratnam's much awaited magnum opus 'Ponniyin Selvan 1' is all set to release on September 30 as well.
Produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu's V Creations, 'Naane Varuven', which is touted to be a thriller, stars Indhuja Ravichandran, Elli AvRam, and Yogi Babu in the lead roles. The film also sees composer Yuvan Shankar Raja reuniting with Selvarghavan after a break. Interestingly, the film features Dhanush in a dual role and Selvaraghavan shares the screen space alongside Dhanush in a pivotal role.
On the professional front, after ‘Vaathi’, Dhanush will begin shooting for the film ‘Captain Miller’ directed by Arun Matheswaran. Arun Matheswaran made his directorial debut with the film ‘Rocky’ in 2021 and his second film was ‘Saani Kaayidham’ featuring Keerthy Suresh and Selvaraghavan in the lead roles. Both the films of the director were successful and ‘Captain Miller’ marks the third film of the director.
