Actor Ranveer Singh, who is awaiting the release of his upcoming films ’83, Jayeshbhai Jordaar and Cirkus, is all set to make his digital debut as he collaborates with British adventurer, writer, television presenter Bear Grylls for an adventure show. Ranveer‘s big-budget adventure series is likely to be bankrolled by Netflix and will stream on the OTT giant.
A source revealed, "It’s a concept by developed by Bear Grylls. After discussing with Netflix on the same, they felt that it’s Ranveer Singh, who fits the bill for this format like hand in glove. Ranveer, Bear and Netflix have been in conversation for a while now and everything has finally fallen in place. It is a hugely budgeted show which will be the biggest drop for Netflix around the world. No one but Ranveer could pull off what Bear has devised for the show. The prep-work has already begun and the makers plan to shoot it this year itself."
Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh will be next seen in Kabir Khan's '83, which chronicles the heroic journey of Indian cricket team winning the 1983 world cup. The film stars Ranveer Singh in the lead role of Kapil Dev with Tahir Raj Bhasin as Sunil Gavaskar, Saqib Saleem as Mohinder Amarnath, Ammy Virk as Balwinder Sandhu, Sahil Khattar as Syed Kirmani, Chirag Patil as Sandeep Patil, Adinath Kothare as Dilip Vengsarkar, Dhairya Karwa as Ravi Shastri, Dinker Sharma as Kirti Azad, Jatin Sarna as Yashpal Sharma, Harrdy Sandhu as Madan Lal, Nishant Dahhiya as Roger Binny, R Badree as Sunil Valson and Pankaj Tripathi as their coach PR Man Singh.
Ranveer Singh recently announced his next, which is the Anniyan remake with director Shankar. Talking about it, the actor said in a statement, "To lead a film like 'Anniyan' is a dream come true for any artiste. Vikram sir, one of our country’s finest talents, an artiste who I hugely admire, gave a colossal performance in the original, one that can never be matched. "I can only hope that my interpretation and rendition of the part also connects with audiences in the same way.
