Breaking : Director Cheran and Silambarasan to join hands!

Simbu is currently busy with the shooting of his next film Maanaadu with Venkat Prabhu. The film produced by Suresh Kamachi has Kalyani Priyadarshan as the leading lady with Bharathiraja, SAC, S.J. Suryah, Premgi Amaran, Karunakaran, Arvind Akash, Daniel Anne Pope and Udaya.  Filming will go on continuously for the next two months and the entire shooting will be wrapped up to aim a Diwali 2020 release.

Now, in a recent update, media reports claim that the actor will be seen next in a movie directed by Cheran.According to Indiaglitz, Cheran narrated an emotional story, which has a big role for the hero, and Simbu seems to be mighty impressed with the script.

On the other hand, Cheran’s last outing was Rajavukku Check, which was directed by Sai Rajkumar. The film had Srushti Dange in the female lead. In the film, Cheran played the role of a cop, whose daughter gets kidnapped. When the film was released, many reports surfaced, suggesting that the film is based on the infamous Pollachi rape case. However, the director took to his social media space and cleared the air stating that the film was not based on the case. While Cheran said during his days in Bigg Boss that he would direct a film with Vijay Sethupathi, this news about collaboration with comes as a pleasant surprise.

Director Cheran, who was an erstwhile assistant director of KS Ravikumar, is known for his emotional family dramas. His films were celebrated by the family audience, but after the failure of his romantic-drama Pokkisham in 2009, the actor-director couldn't get back to working together.
