Rajinikanth is currently working on his next film 'Darbar' in which the superstar will be seen donning the cop avatar after a gap of 25 years. The shoot for the movie has been going on in media and recently pictures from the shooting spot of Rajinikanth, Nayanthara, Yogi Babu also went viral. Now there is an exciting update about the cast of the film.The latest addition to the cast is Jatin Sarna. He recently became popular for his performance in the online web series Sacred Games. He has also acted in films like Gold, Sonchiriya.
The actor has already completed his portions for the film and has spoken about his role in a recent interview. Jatin says that his role of a rowdy challenger is a short but important one in the proceedings, and he will be pit against Rajinikanth in some verbal duels and a fight sequence.
The film is directed by AR Murugadoss and marks the first collaboration between the actor and the director. Darbar is Rajinikanth’s 167th film and is slated to release around Pongal next year. The makers of the film had earlier released the first look poster of the film which features Rajinikanth against the backdrop of guns, uniform, other police related things. Bollywood actor Prateik Babbar plays the role of a villain in the film. Santosh Sivan is the cinematographer, while Anirudh Ravichander is in charge of the music of the film.
