Thala Ajith is back with his Latest movie Viswasam, a mass entertainer with female lead Nayantara directed by Siva. Viswasam opened with a bang in the Tamil Nadu box office despite strong competition from Rajinikanth much awaited film Petta on 10th January, 2019.
Viswasam Day - 2 box office collection saw good hold by collecting Rs. 13.50 Crore took total to Rs. 26.7 Crore in Tamil Nadu Box Office and Rs. 7.75 Crore from other States. It has also performed decently in overseas box office. In the US, Viswasam made Rs 59 lakh from 71 screens.With the upcoming Pongal/Sankranthi holidays, Viswasam is expected to make some serious money. "Pongal is one of the biggest festivals in the state that brings the family audience to theaters, yielding a good box-office collection, especially in rural areas.

In two days of its theatrical run, Viswasam is inching towards the Rs 50 Crore mark and it will achieve it quite comfortably during the weekend. The Pongal holidays will give both Viswasam and Petta a good edge at the box office.
