2.0 Inches Closer To 1000 Cr At The World Wide Box Office.


2.0, touted as India's costliest film, is running successfully for the third week. Superstar Rajinikanth fans are wondering if their Superstar's film will cross Rs 1000-crore mark.

Shankar directorial 2.0 is currently the most expensive Indian film with a budget of over Rs 550 crore. However, despite breaking several box office records, it is still behind SS Rajamouli's Baahubali 2: The Conclusion's box office collections.


Now, the new record has set the fans wondering if the film will cross Rs 1000 Cr mark.

After 13th December, the movie has collected over Rs 10Cr from its Hindi version, Rs 3 crore in Rajinikanth's hometown Chennai, and approximately Rs 2Cr in Pakistan. The film's worldwide box office collection is more than Rs 950Cr and is continuously reaching towards Rs 1000 crore mark.

After capturing the Indian box office, makers of 2.0 are looking forward to its China release. It will release in around 10,000 theatres with 56,000 screens in May 2019. 2.0 can surely achieve 1000+Cr.In fact, with Rajinikanth's popularity in the country, the wide screen space that it commands and the tremendous word of mouth publicity that it has received, we are sure 2.0 can continue its record breaking run and cross the Rs 1000+ Cr mark in the worldwide market


2.0 is a sequel to Robot, which was released in 2010. Rajinikanth plays the role of Chitti and Dr Vaseegaran in both movies. Akshay Kumar plays the role of Pakshi Raja as the primary antagonist in the film. 2.0's visual effects are the main reason behind the movie's huge budget. The film has received a lot of appreciation for its VFX and action, which is also responsible for its longevity.
