Finally, Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer film 2.0 has released this Thursday and after a lot of hype, the expectations from the film is on high notes. Well, S Shankar directorial film has gone up to the expectations and it has just got the positive response from the critics and the audience. Since the film has released the occupancy report of the film was really shocking and surprising.
Rajinikanth in the leading role they covered the whole South region, whether Akshay Kumar in the negative role has helped the makers to bring Noth region audience in the theatres. According to the early trends, 2.0 is all set to break all the records of highest opening grosser, Baahubali 2. The early trends suggest that the film has collected more than 95 crores on its very first day.
As a result, 2.0 has turned out to be the biggest opener of all-time in Kollywood. The early estimates say that the movie has minted around Rs 35 crore, thereby breaking the opening-day record of Sarkar, which raked in Rs 31.5 crore three weeks ago. Notably, 2.0 may have failed to beat the Baahubali 2 first-day record across the globe, but it has outperformed the business of SS Rajamouli's flick, which had raked in around Rs 11 crore.
Trade analyst Girish Johar had told us, “The Hindi version of the film is expected to earn something between Rs 20-25 crore on the day of its release. If we consider all languages (Tamil and Telugu), the Rajinikanth starrer will touch Rs 100 crore (gross) mark on day one.”
