Seema Raja trailer, which was unveiled on Saturday, has gotten very good response from the audience. However, the film landed in a mild controversy after Vijay fans attacked Sivakarthikeyan for plagiarising a scene from ‘Mersal’, which released last year.
In the trailer, there’s a scene where Sivakarthikeyan stands between two
horses, which is akin to a similar scene in ‘Mersal’. While some fans targeted Sivakarthikeyan for copying Vijay, others pointed
out that the Animal Welfare Board of India (ABWI) failed to notice this in the trailer. On the other hand, few people also compared ‘Seema Raja’ to ‘Baahubali’ mainly for the last scene, where Sivakarthikeyan can be seen as the Tamil King. At the trailer launch, Sivakarthikeyan reportedly thanked the audience for the same.
Touted to be an out-and-out commercial entertainer, ‘Seema Raja’ will see Sivakarthikeyan playing to the gallery once again.
Directed by Ponram, the film stars Samantha Akkineni as the female lead, while actors Simran, Soori, Napoleon, Manobala and
Sathish play supporting roles. The album of ‘Seema Raja’ is composed by none other than D Imman, who has worked in films
like ‘Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam’ and ‘Rajini Murugan’.
