AIADMK supremo and former chief minister
of Tamil Nadu, J Jayalalithaa, several actresses including Ramya Krishnan,
Nayanthara, Trisha Krishnan and Manjima Mohan have expressed their
desire to essay the powerful politician on the screen.
According to latest reports, the Bollywood actress Vidya Balan is
being considered to play Jayalalithaa in the upcoming yet-untitled biopic,
which will be helmed by director AL Vijay of Thalaiva and Madrasapattinam fame.She will also be playing NTR’s wife in the upcoming biopic on
the politician.
It must be noted that the project, which will be made on a large scale, is currently in its pre-production stage and an official
announcement regarding the cast and crew will be made sometime later this year.
According to reports, the project will be officially launched on February 24, 2019, on the occasion of Jayalalithaa's birthday. AL
