Akshay's Gold has been steady since day one. In this Reema Kagti directorial, Akshay plays hockey manager Tapan Das.The film is inspired by Indian Hockey team’s historic win at 1948 Olympics.
Gold is getting a huge response from the Box office arena worldwide. The film gets a chance of enjoying lots of holidays from Releasing on Independence day eve to currently enjoying Bakrid holiday which is a national holiday all over the country.
Though the film saw a footfall on Monday the film again saw a massive rise on Tuesday shows that still, people want to go to Gold than the other new releases. The film again got a raise on Bakrid holiday taking the film’s tally cross 80 Cr mark and has beaten the lifetime box office collections of Akshay Kumar’s Padman which was released on February this year. And also the film is moving towards 100 Cr at a good pace and the film will definitely cross the grand 100 Cr within this weekend itself.But it will be interesting to see the film’s performance with two new releases Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi and Genius.
