After recording as the highest opening weekend film ever for Akshay Kumar in his career. This film also recorded as the 5th highest opening weekend film of this year. Now the film is aiming towards 100 Cr mark as the 9th 100 Cr film for Akshay Kumar in his career.
The film till now has made a whopping amount of 89 Cr which is slightly less than 100 Cr mark. Moreover, the film is also performing well than any other Akshay Kumar’s movie.
Everything will be a competition. For me, it is all about doing a good film. Chak De… was a different story, Gold is different. It is frivolous to even think like that or compete with that film. Don’t compare it, it is all different,” Akshay said in an interview.
Gold has not only been performing well at the box office but it is also the third biggest opener of 2018. The top five biggest openers list includes Rajkumar Hirani's Sanju, which tops the list. The list also includes Salman Khan's Race 3, Baaghi 2 and Satyameva Jayate, which also released on Independence Day.
