Though the film opened in a screen count less than Baaghi 2 and Sanju which was the highest openers of the year. Still, the film opened around 27.25 Cr which is the 3rd highest opener of the year so far. Yet the film achieved this feat on releasing along with a film like Satyameva Jayate which is also a most expected movie.The film also created a record on the opening day by beating the occupancy rate of Race 3 and other many hit films of this year.
The film got around 52.5 % occupancy while the Salman Khan’s Race 3 got around only 50%. And the Satyameva Jayate got only 42.5 % which is also a better occupancy rate when released along with a film like gold.At the night show, it even reached 95 % occupancy.Some experts are saying that this Akshay Starrer might have a high potential of reaching 200 Cr Mark and this will be the Akshay Kumar’s 1st 200 Cr film in his career.
The film will show further growth on the 2nd day at the box office, and might would make around 23.6 Cr which is more or less equal to opening day biz.
