Last seen in the blockbuster action-drama ‘Mersal’, Vijay is currently shooting for his upcoming film with AR Murugadoss titled ‘Sarkar’. While the makers are rigorously wrapping up the film, reports about Vijay’s next have been doing the rounds on the internet.
Unconfirmed reports suggested that Vijay might team up with director Perarasu, who has worked in films like ‘Thirupachi’ and ‘Sivakasi’. However, sources close to Vijay have dismissed the rumours and clarified that Vijay hasn’t signed anything yet. It must be noted that several directors including Mohan Raja, H Vinoth, Atlee and Vetri Maaran have narrated scripts to Vijay. An official confirmation regarding Vijay’s forthcoming film is expected to be announced sometime in July.
Meanwhile, Vijay will be heading to US later this month to shoot his introductory song for ‘Sarkar’ in Las Vegas. Last week, the makers released the official first look, which received an overwhelming response from fans. Made on a lavish budget by Sun Pictures, the film stars Keerthy Suresh, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Radha Ravi, Pala Karuppiah and Yogi Babu in important roles.
Directed by AR Murugadoss, ‘Sarkar’ has music by AR Rahman and is slated to release on Diwali this year.
