Rajinikanth’s Kaala continues to shatter records at the ticket windows. The Tamil gangster drama has now entered in the top 5 charts at the Australian box office. The film has raked in Rs 1.63 crore in three days and is expected to cross Rs 2 crore mark today. Kaala is all set to become the second highest weekend grosser of 2018 in Australia after Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat.Apart from Australia, the film also performed phenomenally well in the markets of USA and Russia. It has already crossed $ 1 million mark in the American market.

Kaala marks the second collaboration between director Pa. Ranjith and actor Rajinikanth after Kabali. Apart from Tamil, the film was simultaneously released in Telugu and Hindi dubbed versions on June 7. It also features Huma Qureshi, Nana Patekar, Sampath, Sayaji Shinde and Samuthirakani in pivotal roles. The music of the film is composed by Santhosh Narayanan.
