Rumours about Mrunal Thakur and Dhanush getting married on Valentine’s Day have once again surfaced on social media. Reports had claimed that the duo were planning a private wedding ceremony on February 14. However, a Deccan Herald report has dismissed these claims, quoting a source close to the actors who termed the rumours “completely fake and baseless” and urged fans not to believe them.
Speculation about their relationship began after Dhanush attended Mrunal’s birthday party in August and the two were later seen together at the premiere of Son of Sardaar 2. Mrunal also addressed the rumours last year through an Instagram Story, laughing them off and stating that she enjoys the “free” rumours.
On the work front, Mrunal Thakur was last seen in Son of Sardaar 2 and has several projects lined up, including Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, Dacoit, and Do Deewane Seher Mein. Dhanush will next appear in Kara (formerly D54), directed by Vignesh Raja, which is slated for a February 2026 release.
