Rebel Star Prabhas is back with a bang with his latest actioner, Salaar, released on Friday.
He has had a tumultuous period with a string of commercial duds in recent years. However, the Prashanth Neel directorial has changed the actor's fate and it has reportedly surpassed Rs. 500 crore globally.
The movie was released exactly a week back and it has grossed more than Rs 500 crore att he global box office. The movie on Thursday, December 28 has reportedly minted Rs 13 crore at the ticket windows and it has grossed more than Rs 318 crore in India as such.
The Prabhas starrer has also become the 3rd film to achieve the feat of making more than Rs 50 crore at the box office in Andhra Pradesh and minting Rs 65 crore in Telangana as profit for the distributors.
Earlier, the films namely 'Baahubali' and 'RRR' were able to achieve this and now 'Salaar'joins the list at number 3. Apart from the Telugu version, the Hindi version of 'Salaar' has also got a humongous opening. The film in 6 days in Hindi has made a gross of Rs 84 crore.
Directed by Prashanth Neel, the film features Prabhas, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu, Shriya Reddy in important roles. The music for the film is composed by Ravi Basurur.
