Simbu's Maanaadu film released last week on November 25, after a long postponement and hurdles. In just 3 days, the movie is earning good numbers and has become a blockbuster success. On that note, Simbu released a statement to express gratitude towards his fans, friends, team and his parents for the love and support.
Simbu shared a special note to thank his fans for their support. He wrote, "Maanaadu is a film that was made with so much effort and faith in god. I wanted to make those who love me happy and now it has paid off. Maanaadu is running successfully across the globe. My thanks to producer Suresh Kamatchi, director Venkat Prabhu, all technicians, Maanaadu team, my parents, distributors, theatre owners, friends from the film industry, press and media, and my beloved fans."

He continued saying, "I cannot express my emotions in one simple word - thanks. But, I cannot choose a better word than this. At the film's audio launch, I was moved to tears. But, you [fans] did not let it touch the ground and showed so much love. You have made it a success. My thanks and wishes (sic)."
Recently, Rajinikanth also watched the movie and made a personal phone call to congratulate Simbu, Venkat Prabhu and SJ Surya.
