Vishal is currently shooting for his new film directed by debutant A Vinoth Kumar. The film, referred to as #Vishal32, has Sunainaa as the female lead with actors Ramana and Nandaa, who are also good friends of Vishal, producing it.
Now, the latest on the film is that actor Prabhu has been roped in for a crucial role. The senior actor will be teaming up with Vishal for the third time. They had acted together previously in Hari's action drama Thamirabarani, in 2007, and Sundar C's action comedy Aambala, in 2015. "The scenes featuring Prabhu and Vishal in their previous films had been received warmly by audiences and this one, too, will see them sharing screen space in an exciting manner," said a press release from the team.
The shoot of this film is currently taking place in Chennai and a source in the team tells us that Prabhu has lost weight to play this role. A photo of the senior actor, taken from inside his caravan, was also shared by the film's team. However, the team has chosen to not reveal the role of the veteran actor in the film.
Vikram Vedha fame Sam CS is scoring the music for this film, which has cinematography by M Balasubramaniem. The team has been canning an action sequence near Chennai airport for almost a month. "Since this is a Vishal film, there will no dearth for action. However, this role is something that he has never done before. In fact, when we told him the script, he took some time to process it. However, he wanted to move away from his comfort zone and adjusted his dates for us," Ramana had told us earlier.
