A video, which is said to be the trailer for Spider-Man No Way Home, made it to the Internet. While fans seem to be delighted after watching the video, Sony has come in a firefighting mode to get it removed from the Internet.
On Sunday, August 22, a video claiming to be a trailer for Spider-Man No Way Home surfaced on social media platforms. Although the original leaked video has since been taken down, the trailer is still available online at the time of publication. The Hollywood Reporter confirmed the legitimacy of the trailer. Sony has come in full firefighting mode to remove the videos from the Internet. However, this has not been an easy task for the production company as they would get one share blocked, another would crop up.
The video begins with Peter Parker, dealing with the aftermath of his identity getting exposed to the world at the end of Spider-Man: Far From Home. Zendaya's MJ tries to comfort him but he finds it difficult to come to terms with it. He approaches Doctor Strange for a solution and he suggests messing with the multiverse. After some back and forth, he is sent spiralling through the world, meeting characters from older movies such as Doctor Octopus, Electro and even Green Goblin.
It is also notable that the last film in the series, Far From Home, ended on a cliffhanger as Spider-Man’s identity as Peter Parker was exposed by Mysterio and was outed by a surprising appearance of JK Simmons’ J Jonah Jameson. the studio is expected to reveal the official trailer to audiences for the first time at CinemaCon panel tomorrow , before dropping it online for the masses.
Spide-Man No Way Home not only brings back Tom Holland in the titular role of Peter Parker, it also includes villains from previous films: Jamie Foxx’s Electro and Alfred Molina’s Doctor Octopus. While Electro had appeared opposite Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man, Doctor Octopus was the villain opposite Tobey Maguire.
Spider-Man: No Way Home stars Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange. He will replace the now deceased Tony Stark as Peter’s mentor. Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Marisa Tomei, among others, will reprise their roles in Spider-Man: No Way Home.
