The makers of Bell Bottom starring Akshay Khan dropped the film’s trailer on Tuesday. Bell Bottom is an espionage thriller set in the 1980s, specifically 1984. The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on 19 August.
In the trailer, Akshay is seen as an undercover agent (code name: Bell Bottom) who must head a covert operation to rescue over 200 hostages by neutralising four hijackers, in a hijacking which is the seventh in the past five years.
BellBottom, a RAW agent played by Akshay Kumar sees through the plan and thus, begins India's first covert operation. A story based on true events, led by BellBotom, that went on to create one of the most defining moments of the country.
