Vijay decides to re-appeal High Court's statement? Deets Inside.

Thalapathy Vijay, who has started shooting for Nelson Dilipkumar’s Beast in Chennai, was fined Rs 1 lakh by the Madras High Court for seeking exemption of tax on his imported Rolls-Royce Ghost worth Rs 6.95-7.95 crore. Justice SM Subramaniam dismissed the writ petition filed by Vijay in 2012 and asked him to deposit the money to the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister’s Covid-19 Relief Fund.

Now, the latest report is that Thalapathy Vijay has decided to go for a re-appeal to counter the statements made by the HC Judge. Kumaresan, Vijay's Lawyer has confirmed in the statement to the media. He further mentioned that they are going for the counter not because of avoiding fines or avoiding the tax exemption but for the offensive statements made by the HC judge.

Accordingly, actor Vijay had filed a petition in the Chennai High Court seeking an entry tax on a car imported from the UK in 2012. The judge hearing the case, A.M. Subramaniam on Tuesday rejected Vijay's plea and dismissed the petition, and imposed a fine of Rs 1 lakh. He also ordered the fine to be paid into the Chief Minister's General Relief Fund within two weeks. But the judge made a statement asking Vijay to be a hero in real life too, which has disturbed Vijay's fans.

Vijay, who was last seen in Master, will be seen next in Beast. The first-look poster was unveiled by the makers on the eve of Vijay’s birthday (22 June). Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, the film will see Vijay in a never-seen-before avatar. The cast and crew began shooting for the film post lockdown. Pooja Hegde will play the female lead in the film.
