Thalapathy Vijay is one of the leading actors in Kollywood and he enjoys a special place in the history of Tamil cinema. Thalapathy Vijay one of the south Indian stars with the biggest fan following has widened his base to other states as well. In Kerala, the support for him is on par with the superstars there such as Mammootty and Mohan Lal. Now there is evidence that it is much the same in Karnataka too.
Thalapathy Vijay fans from Mangalore in Karnataka have built a lifesize statue of Vijay and have brought it to Chennai and gifted it to him. It is said that the statue will be kept in the Pannaiyur office of the Vijay Makkal Iyakkam permanently and the local fans garlanded it to show their love.
Vijay is presently shooting for his upcoming film Beast for which he has teamed up with young filmmaker Nelson Dilipkumar. The film has Pooja Hegde in lead. Pooja had earlier acted in a Tamil film `Mugamudi' and it released in 2012.But the film hasn't fetched any more roles. It is after a decade since she is making a comeback in Tamil cinema. Market watchers said it is could be her career's biggest break as she will be seen in Thalapathy Vijay's movie.
Beast is going to be a high-octane action drama in which Vijay is likely going to play a commander or a secret agent. There is a possibility that Beast features a vigilante angle which is pretty much common in every commercial cinema.
