As theatres have been shut due to coronavirus pandemic, filmmakers are now landing on OTT platforms to release their movies. Shahid is going to be pretty busy in upcoming days as he has signed multiple projects. The actor is awaiting the release of his sports drama 'Jersey' which is remake of the Telugu film of same name. He is also prepping for his debut web show with Raj and DK. Now latest reports suggest that Shahid has been approached by Nikkhil Advani for an action thriller.
A source close to the development said, "Not much is known about the film yet but it is an action thriller that Nikkhil has been planning for over a year now. He wanted an A-list actor from the younger generation to play the lead. He approached Shahid for the same and they have discussed the whole project virtually over a meeting since Shahid is not in town. Shahid has liked the whole idea and the script and now, the team is trying to work out the modalities, before finalising it.”
This is not the first time that Nikkhil has offered a film to Shahid but it never materialised. The actor is known to reject many films even before Kabir Singh. In 2018, Nikkhil was in talks with Shahid for a film based on 26/11 terror attacks, even Bell Bottom was offered to Shahid before Akshay Kumar was roped in. Let’s see if this reunion happens for sure this time or not!
