Master had been one of the most anticipated releases from the regional zone. According to trade analysts, Master has collected over Rs 270 crore at the box office worldwide and the numbers are expected to go up in the coming days.
Meanwhile, Master has made it to top 10 Tamil grossers and has crossed collections of Endhiran, Darbar and I.
Earlier while talking about his role in Master and the film's digital release, Vijay had said in a statement, "In the film, I am essaying the character of an alcoholic college professor named John Durairaj, who is transferred to a juvenile school, that’s where he meets his archnemesis Bhavani, played by Vijay Sethupathi who has been using the children of the school in question for his own personal profit. I am certain that the interesting duel between John and Bhavani will take the audiences on a roller-coaster ride of action, and drama.
