Director Shankar is collaborating with Ram Charan and producer Dil Raju for his next venture. Ram Charan is currently busy with RRR, which is helmed by SS Rajamouli.
Indian filmmakers, Shankar, who is known for delivering blockbusters like Endhiran, Indian, 2.0, I, Nanban and others, is reportedly collaborating with the Magadheera actor Ram Charan for his upcoming mega-budget pan-India project, which is touted to be a historical drama. Apparently, the Shankar narrated the script to the megastar and he has given an official nod to the director. The pan-India project will be produced by Dil Raju and will release in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam.
Meanwhile, Shankar’s Indian 2 is in limbo as the production is yet to resume. The shooting came to a halt last February following a freak accident on the sets which claimed three lives. And the subsequent COVID-induced lockdown delayed the production further. The buzz is that Shankar has not received the go-ahead from producers to resume the shooting, putting a big question mark on the fate of the project.
