Amala Paul in talks for Narappa! Details Inside.


After Venky Mama, Venkatesh Daggubati has kickstarted the shoot of his 74th film titled as Narappa. Venkatesh is on a roll by delivering back to back blockbusters with F2 and Venky Mama. The makers of Venkatesh starrer recently shared the first look of the film and it took social media by storm. Telugu remake of Dhanush starrer Asuran, the film's regular shoot commenced on Jan 22nd at Paalturu Village, Uravakonda in Anantapur District. The first shot has been picturized on Victory Venkatesh. 

Sreekanth Addala is directing this flick produced by D Suresh Babu and Kalaippuli S Thanu under Suresh Productions Pvt Ltd and V Creations banners. 

The latest update is that actress Amala Paul has been signed to play the role played by Ammu Abhirami in the flashback portions of Asuran. An official clarification on this rumour is expected soon. Priyamani will be playing the role played by Manju Warrier.

Dhanush's Asuran released last year and it opened to a massive response from the audience and critics alike. The film not only received a good response but also witnessed 100 days run at the ticket windows.

During a recent interaction with a leading daily, Venkatesh opened up on the negative comments for Asuran remake. Revealing that a number of people from the film fraternity have advised him not to do the film, the senior star said “People have doubted my ability in the past too. But it took me just half an hour to decide about doing this film.”

Admitting that remake films constitute 99 per cent of his success, the Daggubati scion stated that Asuran is the right film for him after F2 and Venky Mama. He is eagerly looking forward to starting the shoot and get into the shoes of the character.
