Bollywood Superstar Akshay Kumar will star in and as Bachchan Pandey in Sajid Nadiadwala’s upcoming production, the makers announced on Friday. The action drama will be directed by Farhad Samji and released around Christmas 2020. As per speculation, the film is a remake of Ajith’s Veeram.
The film was earlier titled 'LOL: Land of Lungi' and has now been renamed to 'Bachchan Pandey'. The first look of Akshay Kumar in the new avatar has quite intriguied the moviebuffs. As per the latest reports, Kriti Sanon has been roped in to romance Akshay Kumar in the film. Both the actor have worked together in the upcoming film 'Housefull 4' which is also helmed by Farhad Samji.
The story of Veeram is about five brothers. The eldest brother (played by Akshay) sacrifices his happiness for their good and refuses to get married as he feels his wife may break up the bond the brothers’ share. The younger brothers, who have their own girlfriends, find a girl for him to fall in love with and finally marry. In the process, the eldest brother helps the girl’s father from goons and all brothers get married in the end.
