Dhanush and Vettrimaran are known for their blockbuster films which fare amazingly well at the box office. The makers of director Vetrimaaran and Dhanush's upcoming film, Asuran, are reportedly eyeing a release an October 2 release, coinciding with Gandhi Jayanthi, followed by the extended Dussehra weekend.
The fourth film of the duo is currently in its final leg of the shoot, and in a recent interview, Vetrimaaran had disclosed that Dhanush will be seen playing the roles of a father and son in Asuran.Asuran has music by GV Prakash and recently he had revealed that one of the songs from the movie, Pollathabhoomi has been sung by Dhanush and Ken Karunaas and now GV Prakash has given another update on the songs of the movie.
GV Prakash tweeted that he is recording another song this week which is penned by lyricist Egadesi and that he will reveal the surprise singer in a week.

Based on Poomani’s Vekkai novel, Asuran is said to be a rural drama set between the 60s and 80s. The film also stars Manju Warrier (in her Tamil debut), Pasupathy, Balaji Shakthivel, Karunas’ son Ken and Pawan in pivotal roles.
Meanwhile, the makers of Durai Senthilkumar’s next starring Dhanush and Sneha are expecting to resume shoot after Asuran wraps up. Dhanush will be seen in a double role as father and son in this film too. The team is half-way through shoot, and two schedules are remaining.Dhanush is also awaiting the release of Pakkiri, the Tamil version of The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir.
