The latest buzz doing the rounds in the industry is that Siva has approached Rajinikanth with a script and the Superstar might be doing a film with him after he wraps up Darbar.We broke the news that Rajinikanth loved Thala Ajith's blockbuster 'Viswasam' which locked horns with his 'Petta' at the box office and invited the director Siruthai Siva and listened to a story line. It has now come to light that the Rajini-Siva project a family based entertainer with mass elements is firming up and will go on floors in a couple of months.
Siruthai Siva directed Ajith Kumar in four movies – Veeram, Vedalam, Vivegam and Viswasam – in a row. Except for Vivegam, three movies turned profitable venture for the distributors and producers, thus increasing his trust on him among the Kollywood producers.
Meanwhile, Rajinikanth is expected to start the third schedule of shooting for AR Murugadoss' 'Darbar' soon. Said to be a cop story, the film will see Rajinikanth in the role of a cop after a long time. Bankrolled by Lyca Productions, the film also stars Nayanthara, Prateik Babbar, Yogi Babu, Anandaraj, Harish Uttaman, and Bose Venkat in important roles. With music by Anirudh Ravichander and Santosh Sivan as the cinematographer, the film is slated to release for Pongal, 2020.
