Bollywood actors Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone are ready to reunite for Anurag Basu's next, say reports. According to a report in an entertainment portal, the actors are in talks with Anurag for a romantic film.Quoting a source, the report claimed that Ranbir and Deepika were offered scripts earlier, but Ranbir is particularly excited about this new one and wants to get Deepika onboard.
While Anurag has given Ranbir his career-best film in Barfi, the duo also worked together on Jagga Jasoos. Deepika, however, has not worked with the director yet.Before Tamasha, Ranbir and Deepika were seen in Ayan Mukerji’s musical blockbuster Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. The film, which had an exciting cast including Aditya Roy Kapur and Kalki Koechlin, went on to give chartbusters like Balam Pichkari, Batameez Dil and many more. Prior to that, they were seen together for the first time in Bachna Ae Haseeno.
Talking about Deepika, Ranbir had earlier said, “The amount of love I have for Deepika is like family. It’s very warm, it’s about care, about being proud of her. The facet of love, care and respect has changed but changed for the better. It’s not your immature “I love her” kind of feeling. It’s mature and that has come with age. Also, we have both positively moved on with our lives.”
Deepika Padukone is currently busy with Meghna Gulzar's Chhapaak, which is based on the life of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal. Ranbir Kapoor is gearing up for the release of Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra. The film also stars Alia Bhatt and Amitabh Bachchan. The Sanju director will also begin work on Karan Malhotra directorial Shamshera alongside Sanjay Dutt.
