Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee’s recently released film Badla is going strong at the box office. It is quickly heading towards the 100 Cr mark in India. The film has Taapsee Pannu and Amitabh Bachchan in the lead roles. Shah Rukh Khan's production house Red Chillies produced the venture.
Now the latest buzz is that there are plans to remake the movie in Tamil, and that the Tamil remake rights of Badla have been acquired by G Dhananjayan. Recently Dhananjayan tasted success by remaking Tumhari Sulu in Tamil. Starring Jyothika in the lead role, the Tamil remake was titled Kaatrin Mozhi. .
Now, for the Tamil remake of Badla, actress Trisha is reportedly approached for the role of Taapsee Pannu. The producer is yet to make an official announcement about the project.
In the movie, Taapsee plays the role of Naina Sethi, who is a successful businesswoman embroiled in a murder case. She gets a hotshot lawyer, Badal Gupta to represent her and what happens later is what the whole tale is all about. Amrita Singh has a sizeable role and she's fabulous to say the least.
