Kesari Trailer : Akshay Kumar Is Back With Bang !

Actor Akshay Kumar shared the trailer for his next film, Kesari on Thursday morning and it is already a hit with meme lovers on Twitter. The film—based on the epic Battle of Saragarhi of 1897 where an army of 21 Sikhs fought against 10,000 Afghans—has some really powerful dialogues and the internet has made full use of them by turning them into jokes and memes.

And for the first time, Karan Johar along with Akshay Kumar is bringing the story to the big screen with Kesari.After months of waiting, the much-awaited trailer of Kesari hit the web today, giving a glimpse into the epic battle. The three-minute trailer speaks volumes about the courage and valour of the Sikh soldiers.

Akshay Kumar has been known as an action hero. But this time, the 51-year-old actor is returning to the big screen with a story that has as much heart as it has action. A film on the battle of Saragarhi. A film that salutes the valour of Sikh soldiers who fought courageously against a deadly army.

Akshay plays the role of Havildar Ishar Singh, who led the Sikhs in the Battle of Saragarhi and defended his post against an army of 10,000 Afghan soldiers.

Battle of Saragarhi. A battle that is considered as one of history's greatest last-stands by many.

On September 12, 1897, 21 Sikh soldiers of the British Indian Army were pitted against 10,000 Afghans tribsemen. A number too huge to defeat. But Havildar Ishar Singh and his army decided to take on the Afghans head on. And each of the 21 men made their presence count by fighting valiantly against all odds in the deadliest battle ever fought.

Apart from Kesari, Akshay will also be seen in Good News with Kareena Kapoor and Mission Mangal with Vidya Balan and Sonakshi Sinha, while, Parineeti will soon star in Sandeep aur Pinky Faraar with Arjun Kapoor and in Jabariya Jodi with Sidharth Malhotra.
