After the Great box office success of 2.0, now everyone is waiting for Superstar‘s movie‘Petta’ Openening BO. This is a Kollywood action movie where we will witness Rajinikanth in action. Petta movie is directed by Karthik Subbaraj and he is one of the renowned directors from the Kollywood industry. In Chennai, Petta had over 170+ shows and enjoyed an average of 85+ percent of occupancy for the shows. The movie is estimated to have earned over Rs 1.24 crore on the opening day in the capital city of Tamil Nadu.As mentioned above, Petta has got a huge number of screens Including the B & C centres. Going by the trend, Petta is expected to have fetched in between 25 to 30 Crores on its opening day from Tamil Nadu.
The early estimation coming from the industry indicates that Petta had garnered over Rs 28.24 crore on the first day in Tamil Nadu.The good news is that the flick has garnered positive reviews and family audience have liked the project. As a result, the collection of Petta is expected to be good in Tamil Nadu in the next few days.
Petta has already earned a collection of $500,000(Rs.3,52,12,750.00) at the US box office and these numbers are just from the premiere shows. Emerging reports reveal that Petta may soon touch the golden number of $1 million and turn out to be the fastest film to do so in Rajinikanth’s career.
Petta, besides Rajinikanth, also stars Simran, Trisha Krishnan and Vijay Sethupathi in important roles. Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui will be seen playing a baddie in Petta marking his debut in Tamil cinema. Young actress Megha Akash in seen in a brief yet key role. The music of Petta is composed by Anirudh Ravichander which has turned out to be a superhit album already.
