The trailer of Thala Ajith’s upcoming film, Viswasam, was released on Sunday. The film is his 4th collaboration with filmmaker Siva.The trailer shows Thala playing the role of Thookudurai, a local don from Theni. Nayanthara is paired with Thala Ajith, after having played the lead in a series of women-centric movies this year. The ‘Lady Superstar’, as she is known in Kollywood, has delivered back-to-back hits. The trailer has all the elements of a successful masala film – flying men, dance numbers and a very angry, mustache-twirling Ajith.
It is an understatement to say that the Trailer was received with a great response from his fans. Within 2 Hours the Trailer received about 5 Million views with 700k Likes on YouTube.It got 7 Million views with 1 Million Likes in a matter of a few hours. The teaser is still trending on Twitter.
The film, that has been certified ‘U’, will be released in countries like Russia and Ukraine. Seventh Sense Cinema, which had released Rajinikanth’s 2.0 recently in Russia, will be overseeing the release of Viswasam in these two countries where the film is scheduled to release in more than eight cities.
The film also stars Yogi Babu, Vivek, Robo Shankar, Thambi Ramaiah, Kovai Sarala among others. Music composer D Imman has given music for an Ajith starrer for the first time. The core technical crew includes Vetri for camera work with editing by Ruben. The film is set to release for Pongal 2019.
