After seeing a golden run at the box-office for his last outing Kadai Kutty Singam actor Karthi's next titled Dev directed by debutant Rajath Ravishankar is aiming for a release on January 25 for the Republic Day weekend.
Harris Jayaraj just took to Twitter to announce the release date of the first single. The date is December 14. Although no other details of the upcoming track is known, it must be noted we had reported a while back that two-time National Award-winning singer Hariharan has sung a song in the film. We will now have to wait and see if the song coming out next week is the one crooned by the Padma Shri awardee.

Rakul Preet Singh, who was also part of Theeran, has reunited with Karthi for this project and she will be seen playing the role of an NRI in the movie.The film also stars Baahubali fame Ramya Krishnan who has also bagged a meaty role in it with Renuka, Amrutha, Prakash Raj and Vigneshkanth playing the supporting roles. Nikki Galrani making a cameo appearance. Other technical crew includes cinematographer R Velraj, editor Ruben and art director Jayashri Narayanan. Harris Jayaraj has been signed to compose the music.
