The official trailer for Aishwarya Rajesh’s Kanaa was released by the indian, cricketer Ashwin Ravichandran. Kanaa, which marks Sivakarthikeyan’s debut production, is directed by Arunraja Kamaraj.
Aishwarya Rajesh plays a young woman who wants to become a cricketer in the film. Actors Sathyaraj, Ilavarasu and Darshan are also part of the cast.
The trailer begins with a girl child being dissuaded to pursue cricket because nobody in the village plays the sport. When she approaches a coach to join the game, he also tells her that it is not for “Pombala Pasanga”. However, we’re shown Aishwarya Rajesh in the next shot, throwing a ball into the air as she leads a team of men. Sathyaraj, who plays her father, is a farmer in distress. We’re also shown the mother telling her that it isn’t enough if one dreams, but that one has to be determined about it.
Sivakarthikeyan makes a surprise appearance towards the end of the trailer , as an aged man. Is he making a cameo or does he have more to do in the film? We'll have to wait and watch.With some inspiring music by Dhibu Ninan Thomas, the trailer suggests that the character played by Aishwarya makes it to the Indian women’s cricket team.
