Suriya Opens Up About NGK : NGK Is A Unique Film...

Suriya’s NGK is one of the highly-anticipated films of the year. During the actor’s birthday, he gave a huge surprise to the fans by launching the first poster of the venture. NGK was slated to hit the screens during the Diwali weekend this year but unfortunately, it got postponed. Talking about the delay of NGK, Suriya expressed his feelings and said that making a good is like going to a war.

Suriya said, “They say, ‘Making a film is easy, but making a good film is easy, but making a good film is like going to war. And, making a cult film is something that is even harder. A lot of miracles need to happen.’ I used to take this saying lightly, but now, I’m starting to believe it. I did not want NGK to be just another normal film. That is why I joined hands with Selvaraghavan. I completely trust my producers and my directors. There are many good things in the film, but when certain issues crop up despite our best efforts, I have to be with my team. I had announced on this same stage that the film will be a Deepavali release. But it’s not going to happen. I’m reminded of what Bala anna said once: ‘It is not a cracker or Pongal to come out only during Deepavali or Pongal. It is a film, and it will release when it has to’. When things beyond your control are happening on a project, you have to give it more positivity. Cinema is a profession of hope. We are dealing with this situation with optimism and we are keen to give this film exactly as we had visualised it at the start of the project. Give us some more time. I, too, am sad that we cannot come out on Deepavali as promised. I also understand your situation, as you have to answer to others. But it is your love for us that is keeping up going.”
