Rajamouli’s 2009 periodic-action film ‘Magadheera’ is minting record-breaking money at the Japanese boxoffice. The Ram Charan – Kajal Aggarwal starrer which opened to packed houses in the island nation, collected a total of approx. $ 1 Million during the first weekend itself.

According to recent reports, the dubbed film surpassed the lifetime collection of ‘Muthu’ ($ 1.6 M) and went on to become the highest-grossing Indian film in Japan. This record was held by the Rajinikanth starrer for over 20 years and ‘Magadheera’ took just 8 months to beat it.
