After delivering successful movie Arjun Reddy, Vijay Deverakonda became overnight star in Telugu Film Industry. Now the young actor is coming up with romantic entertainer Geetha Govindam, directed by Parasuram, to impress the audiences and his fans. Chalo fame Rashmika Mandanna is playing the love interest of Vijay Deverakonda in this film, which has the music by Gopi Sundar. Brankrolled by Bunny Vyas under the Geetha Arts banner, the film has created a lot of buzz on social media and generated curiosity in Tollywood circles. Geetha Govindam revolves around the life of Govindam who falls head over heels in love with a cheerful, bubbly girl, Geetha.The movie starts off on a good note. Full marks to Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika for carrying the entire film on their shoulders. The duo's chemistry stands out as the highlight of the film. The first half is hilarious and pacy. The scenes between the lead couple evokes laughter and youngsters can relate to this! However, it's in the second half that the story loses its plot. However, Geetha Govindam is an honest attempt to offer a Rom-com and succeeds at that. A thorough entertainer except in parts where the scenes feel stretched. Inkem Inkem Kavaale stays with you even after you leave theatre. Music is a plus.
Songs composed by Gopi Sunder are nice and this album is one of the best in Gopi Sunder’s Telugu music career. He did a good work in composing background score. Cinematography by Manikandan is nice. Visuals are the film are delight to eyes with vibrant colors, rich production values and good art work. Editing by Marthand K Venkatesh is fine.
Geetha Govindam is a decent one time watch due to the scintillating chemistry of the lead pair Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna.One must go with no expectations might like the movie . It’s an above average and to see whether Vijay bagged yet another hit in his bag, will have to wait for some more days as there is no other completion this week which clears all the lines initially.
