After much speculation on the cast of NTR’s biopic, we hear that actress Vidya Balan has officially signed the film. There were rumours that Nayanthara would be playing Basavatharakam, NTR’s wife, in the biopic which will be directed by Krish. However sources confirmed that Vidya Balan has been confirmed to play the role.
The biopic has been titled NTR and is being produced by Balakrishna jointly with Vishnu Induri.
Balakrishna will also play the lead role in the film while the makers are still on the lookout for the rest of the actors. This film will mark the debut of Vidya Balan in Telugu cinema. The shooting of NTR biopic is expected to begin from next month and the makers are targeting to release the film in January 2019.
