According to trade reports, Kaala is doing extremely well in the international market. As we know, Rajinikanth commands a loyal fan base in Malaysia and Singapore.According to latest reports, Kaala has bagged the second position in terms of opening weekend collections in Malaysia.Kaala has collected Rs 7.61 crore so far in Malaysia. However, Kaala couldn't beat the box office collections of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom in Malaysia.
In addition to that, Kaala is minting profits in the US as well. Recently, the film registered a record USD 1 million (Rs 6.7 crore approx) and is expected to gross USD 2 million(Rs 13.5 crore approx) in the coming days.Kaala is directed by Pa. Ranjith and is produced by Rajinikanth’s son-in-law Dhanush K Raja under the banner of Wunderbar Films along with Lyca Productions. It also features Huma Qureshi, Nana Patekar, Sampath, Sayaji Shinde and Samuthirakani in pivotal roles. The music of the film is composed by Santhosh Narayanan. Kaala marks the second collaboration between director Pa. Ranjith and actor Rajinikanth after Kabali.
