A trial court in Jodhpur, on Thursday, 5 April, convicted Salman Khan in the 1998 blackbuck poaching case. The four other co-accused – Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Sonali Bendre and Neelam – have been acquitted.
The quantum of punishment is yet to be announced.
Salman Khan's Lawyer Argues For Lesser Punishment
The argument on the quantum of punishment for actor Salman Khan is currently underway at the Jodhpur trial court.

11:02 am: Salman Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Neelam arrive in court along with Salman’s sister Arpita, Alvira and bodyguard Shera. The court is waiting for Sonali Bendre and Tabu to begin the final hearing.
10:50 am: Salman and Saif have a quick discussion in the hotel room, before heading to the court.
10:15 am: Salman Khan is expected to arrive in court at 11 am. The hearing will begin by 11:15 am.

9:40 am: Chief Judicial Magistrate Dev Kumar Khatri has arrived in the Jodhpur court to pronounce the verdict of the 1998 poaching case in which Salman has been accused of killing two blackbucks and his co-actors Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre, Tabu and Neelam Kothari of abetting the crime.
9:25 am: Sonali Bendre’s lawyer in interaction with ANI reveals that if Salman and company get charged guilty in the blackbuck poaching case then all will have to serve equal punishment of minimum 1 year. The max they can be jailed for is 6 years from the date of verdict.
