Raid grosses over Rs 150 crore at the worldwide box office.


 Ajay Devgn and Ileana D’Cruz starrer Raid has managed to remain steady at the box office. In fact, the period crime thriller has earned decent collections in the international markets as well. Till now the film has grossed Rs 127.40 crore (nett Rs 98 crore) in India and Rs 23 at the overseas box office. It now stands with the grand total of Rs 150.40 crore at the ticket windows.

Raid is based on true events which occurred in Uttar Pradesh and has been inspired by real-life Income Tax raids which were held by Indian Revenue Services back in the ’80s and 90’s. The movie is expected to make it to the third spot of the 100 crore club after Padmaavat and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety.  Apart from the lead cast, the film also stars Saurabh Shukla, Sulagna Panigrahi and Pushpa Joshi in pivotal roles. The film is directed by Rajkumar Gupta, who previously helmed films like Aamir, No One Killed Jessica and Ghanchakkar.Coming to the domestic circuit, the film is currently the third highest grosser of the year after Padmaavat and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety. It is all set to enter the Rs 100 crore club by tomorrow or Thursday at the box office. Raid marks the second collaboration between Ajay and Ileana after Baadshaho.
