We had earlier reported that Vikram’s next will be a magnum opus titled Mahavir Karna. The latest we hear is that the film is all set to go on the floors from October and will most probably be shot on a budget of over Rs 300 crore. The film will be released in Tamil and Hindi and is likely to feature stars with a pan India appeal.
Confirming the news, a source said that the shoot will begin in Hyderabad and subsequent portions will be shot in Canada. “The principal shooting begins in Hyderabad’s Ramoji Film City from October. Predominant portions of the film will be shot in Hyderabad and Jodhpur. Some crucial portions will also be shot in Canada. Originally, the film was planned to be shot in Malayalam. But the makers have decided to release in Tamil and Hindi as well as they’re planning to rope in pan-Indian actors,” added the source.
