The film has received a tremendous response from critics and audience alike. It has not only become a rage in India, but also in Australia where it has collected AUD 168,194 (Rs 85.45 lakh) on its opening day. The film released in Chennai after the end of TFPC strike and has reportedly made Rs 27 lakh. The day 1 collection of the film in Chennai went on to beat Ram Charan’s Rangasthalam that collected Rs 25 lakh on Day 1.
