Marvel‘s latest offering, Black Panther has more than one reason to celebrate. Not only is it the best reviewed film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe till date, but also Marvel’s 2nd highest opening weekend grosser in America ($212 million). But that’s not the end of things! After an insanely amazing first weekend, Black Panther continued its record breaking run in America. The film added another $40.15 million on day 4 (first Monday) to take it’s overall box office tally to $252.15 million. Looking at the current trends, we expect the latest Marvel superhero film to sustain well and break several more records over the first week at the American box office.

Black Panther is Marvel’s first black standalone superhero film. With a fantastic storyline, amazing screenplay, near perfect execution, stellar performances and much more, the movie has been loved by one and all. In fact, people have been raving about the movie on social media, giving it a tremendous word of mouth publicity. This in turn helped Black Panther rake in a large amount of money at the box office. The critics are also impressed by the movie. Our film critic – Anusha Iyengar also gushed about Black Panther, as she mentioned in her review,”You cannot miss this movie for the world. It’s so far one of the best superhero films you must have seen. And wait till both the post credit scenes roll out.”

Apart from the American box office, Black Panther has also been raking in the moolah at the Indian, UK, Korean and several other international markets. It has broken several records in all these regions, but can it become Marvel’s highest grossing film ever? Well that’s something to wait and watch.
